Application Cases of Pressure-Type Mechanical Thermostats in Home Appliances

2026/06/05

In recent years, the home appliance market has seen increasing demands for product reliability, durability, and safety. Refrigerators, freezers, and other appliances require long-term stable operation in complex environments, and the accuracy and stability of temperature control directly impact user experience and product lifespan. While traditional electronic thermostats offer a wide range of functions, they often face challenges in home environments such as power fluctuations, humidity, high temperatures, or prolonged continuous operation, leading to malfunctions or false alarms, and incurring high repair and replacement costs.

Against this backdrop, a well-known home appliance manufacturer approached us seeking solutions. After a detailed needs assessment and product matching analysis, we discovered that some of the client's refrigerators and freezers using electronic thermostats experienced control failures due to voltage instability or compressor start-stop shocks, resulting in a high after-sales failure rate. Our engineering team customized a solution and recommended our pressure-type mechanical thermostat. This product utilizes a sealed pressure sensing system and mechanical contact switches, directly controlling the compressor's on/off state without any electronic components or auxiliary power supply. It relies on pressure changes within the sensing bulb to drive the diaphragm and microswitch, achieving a temperature control accuracy of ±1.5℃ and reliably withstanding frequent start-stop cycles. Meanwhile, its all-metal casing and moisture-proof design allow for long-term stable operation in environments ranging from -30℃ to +40℃ and with 95% relative humidity, completely eliminating control failures caused by moisture, electromagnetic interference, or voltage fluctuations in electronic components.

This pressure-type mechanical thermostat provides customers with a highly reliable, long-life, and maintenance-free temperature control solution, meeting the comprehensive requirements of home appliances for cost control, durability, and safety. After implementing this thermostat, the after-sales temperature control failure rate of related customer products has significantly decreased, user feedback has been positive, and the product's market competitiveness has been effectively enhanced.
